Best lizard to keep
Hi,
I'm nine years old and I'm wondering if there is a "best" breed of lizard to keep as a pet? I'm looking to Buy a pet lizard but if I do I'll need one that is good with children (I have baby/toddler siblings) and is fairly cheap, is relatively easy to look after,Isn't imported from overseas because they often arrive in bad condition, and doesn't require expensive/complicated equipment, and is tame enough that it won't suddenly turn aggressive, and doesn't eat expensive/hard-to-get food. I hope someone knows something about this because I haven't had any luck so far [/size]

RE: Best lizard to keep
Hi
I was in a similar position last year three lizards come to mind. The first being a bearded dragon there care is quite easy and food is in good supply but is more expensive as they need fresh fruit and vegetables daily in a bowl I don't recommend pre packaged and crickets are best. The other lizard is a leopard gecko. They are cheaper to buy and only eat crickets don't try dried and meal worms are a backup plan. The last one to come to mind is the blue tongued skunk same story as the bearded dragon . Do your research lizards do not go well with under 6year old children. Best to keep it away from your siblings. |
